The city of Hamilton has a new bylaw that regulates Uber cars and drivers. The city will collect a $50,000 annual fee from the ride-hailing service plus tack on a 6-cent per trip tax. Much of the money will go to administrative staff to oversee the program. As well, Hamilton reduced annual taxi fees from $194 per cab to $100.
